This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

still bringing worms to the nest
The chickadees on my patio are still bringing worms to their young. The chirping from inside is getting quite loud. I'm still hoping for photos of the fledgelings.
Kathy - Thanks for the update; I hope you get pictures, too! Skippy looks very handsome in his blue cap celebrating over on the pw-blog! - Daisy and Pixie in Arizona
It would be so exciting to watch these from your patio. We had a chickadees coming in and out of our bird houses last summer. Nothing this spring though, I think it might have been stashing seed. I was just photographing a blue bird coming and going from a bird house in a cemetery. It is always nice to see bluebirds.
