  1. I started my melons & cukes on 4/12....too early? Opps!
Kathy, I have this yellow onion that I left sitting on my kitchen counter; it has now sprouted. 9 green "shoots" with the longest about 4" long. Can I plant this???

  2. I need to start all the melons, squash & cucumbers in a week or two. Let me know if you have any germination problems with the melons seed I sent. I have lots of seed of another Charentais if you need them.

  3. I have lots of "volunteer" squash growing from compost, and I'm having a really hard time digging them up or throwing them away, but I don't have room in my garden for so much squash ... this is the hardest part of gardening for me! I love the edible things that come back all by themselves ...

  4. Nice to see someone else is growing Anne Arundel and Charantais melons. I live in Anne Arundel County (Annapolis, MD) where these supposedly originated, so I just had to try them. Love your blog - I've been stalking for months.

  5. Hmm, maybe I'll grow some Anne Arundel melons next year since I'm so close to Anne Arundel county. I've got zero space left this year, unfortunately.
