This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

late November fields
The late November fields really are beautiful. These are photos from the walk Skippy and I took behind the gardens on Sunday. Temperatures were in the mid 20's. Brisk and windy. But we both had good coats on. It was nice.
You know...up until now, I thought a picture like this was sad because there were no plants and everything looks dead. Now, I look out very morning at my November garden and say "Have a nice rest. See you in the spring." It's like I know there is work being done even if I can't see it.
Yes! it is wonderful dog-walking weather here too! Love to Skippy xx
