More photos of my newly found favorite tomato variety - Giant Belgium. It tastes DELICIOUS! I'll definitely grow this one again next year.

  1. Oooh! I LOVE the ruffly edges when it is cut. I've been looking for a big heirloom to grow next year. Maybe I'll give this one a try.

  2. This wasn't a big tomato in my garden.

  3. Did you get a heavy crop? When I grew this a few years ago, I only got one or two tomatoes. Mine were pretty large, I just didn't get many of them.

I'm growing it this year too, but together with so many other tomatoes and I haven't been paying attention to that one plant.

  4. HI Patrick,

I am having a a terrible year for tomatoes. My Giant Belgium's have been one of my best producers - up there with the hybrids. Maybe two small tomatoes per week on each of my two plants. More than any of the 6 or 8 other heirlooms varieties I have growing.

I'll put it on my list to grow again next year. It would be nice if they get a bit bigger next year. I'll try a different location, a different mulch and better soil prep to see if I can do better.
