This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

fancy new sign for our community gardens
My son completed his Boy Scout Eagle project this week. He has been working on Path Restoration at the Belmont Community Gardens. Earlier this summer, he organized a service day where volunteers helped clear rocks and debris from the grass pathways. And this week he installed a sign that he and his dad made.
Here's a video of the sign installation: YouTube Video of Eagle Project.
This video was shot and arranged by E. Westgate. Make sure you listen to the soundtrack too!

Congratulations to your son (and to you, too!)! Helping the community - a wonderful project which will be appreciated for many years to come!

OH, it's so cute and parklike. I love the well-worn path and the sign. Perfect!
