This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

vacation
Skippy is away from his garden this week. See you later.
This is Emerald Pool in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. Its a wonderful place to hike to if you are ever in the area.
Skippy is watching kids jump off of a 15-20 foot ledge into the ice cold water here. He tries to rescue them all. He is very attentive in this job! You can tell this is what he was breed to do.
Blicky and I need to fess up too some aesthetic pilfering. We love the look of you site so much we looked up the colors in photoshop. I also started adding borders to my photos. Hope you don't mind this sincere form of flattery! Your photography is just breathtaking.
Hi Kathy -- I'm a friend of your sister's in Cupertino -- we have met I believe once -- she reminded me of your blog -- I have a pair and wanted to say "blog howdy" -- we have a tortoise and two cats in our garden -- It's nice to see a photo of Skippy -- check out my Twirlyword blog to see a photo of Armor!
What a very handsome dog Skippy is in that picture! A water dog really at home in the water!
