This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
It's breathtaking. But how the heck do you pronounce it?

I think my dad says "cappy-sign-er", but I usually say purple peas.
ReplyDeleteThose are beautiful! Where did you find the seeds?
ReplyDeleteMy snap peas have great vines, some flowers, but no peas. I'm thinking I planted too late. These would be wonderful for next year.
It's been a real bad year for peas for me. It got too hot too soon. I bet we'll all do better with snap peas next year.
ReplyDeleteThe Capucijner soup peas are from Sand Hill Preservation Center.
