Where are the honeybees?
I'm planning to search our community garden for bees soon. Especially honeybees. I haven't seen ANY yet this year and it is very disappointing. I'm still hopeful that if I actually go looking for them I will find some. Maybe they're there and I just haven't noticed .....
I meant to do this project sooner, but I haven't gotten to it. Soon.
silly question - what will you do if you find some?
ReplyDeleteapparently, they're in Pittsfield
ReplyDeleteIf I find some I will take their picture and put it on my blog .....
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should go to Pittsfield for honeybee photos.
ReplyDeleteI have lots of flowers the honeybees usually love, but I have seen just one honeybee this year. I have lots of native wild bees and bumblebees, but no honeybees.

I've been wondering where the bees are, too. This way we can be involved in some small way!
HI Shelly,
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me like they want you to count bees that come to the sunflowers that grow from seeds they send you. And they're not sending out any more seed this year. A nice site.
Thanks for the link.
I didn't notice many honey bees last year. But this year we have had quite a lot. I noticed them on our corn first. They are currently all over our bee balm. I'm zone in GA if that makes any difference.
