This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

evening shadows
(I'm working on rolling that rock out of my garden...)
It is very quiet. Except for the birds. They are incredible. Orioles and mockingbirds, song sparrows, wrens, pheasants .... And bees are starting to buzz. And the plants are growing so fast, they almost make noise. It's a great place to relax and enjoy a garden.
This looks so quiet! Lots of those community gardens in Germany are along railway lines...

ReplyDeletewow! looks fab.
ReplyDeleteToday that rock, still in the same spot, did a great job as a hose guard and a place to sit. Maybe I'll leave it be.
