This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

work in the dirt Saturday
Today is a big work day: CSA volunteer morning at Gretta's farm. Then we are installing a fence around my community plot.
hi kathy - i'm doing some research on community gardens and i was hoping that you could tell me the price range and size range of the plots at your new community garden? Thanks!
All plots are $25/year. They range from about 10 by 20 ft to about 30 by 40 feet or so. Mine is 15 by 24 ft. Last I heard there were a number of plots still open here.
