This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

Skippy won't eat any kind of vegetables. He is a very picky eater. You've never seen any dog like this. He likes about 7 things: liver, duck, turkey, butter, chicken, Evo treats and Merrick Flossies. I mix these things in with his Evo dog food and he does his best to sort it all by spreading it out on the kitchen floor. Then he eats just the good stuff. I do my best to mix it well so he eat some dog food. Aarrggh.
He does also like a nice aged parmigiana cheese, butter cookies, Merrick freeze dried lamb lung, and occasionally tomato sauce.
You're smart and sensible to like broccoli Emma. I like it too! Even my 15 year old son likes broccoli. I'm looking forward to planting some soon - as soon as I can find another plastic milk bottle.
He is just so, so gorgeous!
