This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

snow day
So much for our winter thaw and the bare ground. Today we got about 8 inches of fresh white powder on the garden. A good day to stay inside and look out the window.
What a lovely website, your pictures are great love the snowy ones, here in my area of the UK its mainly snow showers...rather than snowfall Scotland has the main snowfall.
Just popped back on site to further update Meyer Lemon Tree info...
Lovely snow shot! Your garden looks great in every season. We have had more snow than usual this winter and quite a few melting cycles...but the moisture is needed and welcome.
Thanks for commenting on my blog awhile back. It was very exciting to see your comment!
We were supposed to get this snow on Monday, but I woke up to a 5:15 phone call announcing only a 90-minute delay (I teach high school). It was a major bummer considering all the hype this storm got.

Just a note for Meyer Lemon Tree growers when the tree puts out 6 trusses take them back to three for larger fruit...

Thanks for the lemon note. I wish I had 6 trusses! I have only 1 still.
