This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
What a great picture! The moon is very difficult to photograph. My moon pictures don't look near as good as this one. I'm a bit better at phtographing the sun, so once I combined my average moon photo with a sunrise photo.
I read that a blue moon was possible now. Is that really a blue moon? Did it have a blue cast about it? Regardless, I love the photo!
Yes, this is really a blue moon - it was the second full moon in May. I took the picture the night of May 30, instead of sleeping. I tried a couple of shots each with all of my camera settings as the clouds passed by the moon. One of the settings worked well. Others were bad. (I couldn't see which.)
I didn't notice the bluish cast around the moon when I photographed it, but was amused by it when I looked at the photos. I enhanced it a little. A blue blue moon!

ReplyDeleteMarc: FYI - a blue moon is the second full moon in a month.
Glad that you captured that marvelous moon!
