This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.

first snow on the garden
Just a dusting in our area. My dad says it looks more like powdered sugar than snow. It lasted about an hour.
Gosh, I live in the zone equivalent to USDA zone 11. The minimum winter temperatures are always above 1 deg C. usually it's 3-4 deg C. Sigh.. what I would give for your snow!!
Also because the winter temperatures last only a week. After that it climbs steadily into deadly (literally) summer. Our average summer in India is about 45-50 Deg C.
