I didn't check them before. They are shaded by the adjacent house all winter. Maybe the raising keeps them cooler in the winter too? I'm glad I have my new space next to the house, which is sunny all winter and beautifully warm now. Today I planted a first batch of peas!kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10947233901412406068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-92116655253844491162008-03-17T16:00:00.000-04:002008-03-17T16:00:00.000-04:00Yippee for baby peas! Today as I was clearing away the winter debris I was tempted to dig up some of the volunteers and begin to pot them up. Unfortunately I also found a tree came down on my potting bench so I guess it will be a while before I pot up anything.Melanie Chopayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05985844123815086844noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-28995770937435022502008-03-14T18:27:00.000-04:002008-03-14T18:27:00.000-04:00I found that my ground has mostly thawed, too. But it is encouraging, always, to be able to dig in March. Time to plant peas!

Carol, May Dreams GardensCarol Michelhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07796344366326535406noreply@blogger.com
