I've planted this three years now and FINALLY planted it early enough to get a harvest. Its a good mix. frissee, several Chinese cabbage, kales and arugula.

The bok choy seem very much like yours. One was starting to bolt. I have no slugs left. They can be a real problem.kathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10947233901412406068noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-7419299353360063802009-11-03T21:55:17.182-05:002009-11-03T21:55:17.182-05:00Those bok choy must be a different variety from th...Those bok choy must be a different variety from the ones I sent? They look excellent. The ones I planted for fall succumbed to slugs, pesky little things! Celeriac did really well too, I think I am going to try them next year.Danhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07743102355360873845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-61124646368741318952009-11-03T13:31:39.373-05:002009-11-03T13:31:39.373-05:00wow, 9 months? I wonder if I got a deep enough container if they would grow in it, seeing as my garden is so small I'd hate to take up part of it for 9 months :/
I did read online celeriac tastes like celery, and is used in soups a lot. Is that how you plan on using them? It almost looks like you can slice them thin enough and make 'potato' chips :)LoveMeKnot Creationshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08077576936033432099noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-11562301419056328662009-11-03T13:08:54.293-05:002009-11-03T13:08:54.293-05:00I'm with the others...what does one do with ce...I'm with the others...what does one do with celeriac?Michelle @ Give a Girl a Fighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16020971191511530538noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-82901081024193655432009-11-03T06:59:56.842-05:002009-11-03T06:59:56.842-05:00What do you use celeriac for? What do you use celeriac for?Susiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12099425493742842588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-28216161.post-14483943716694250592009-11-03T06:27:52.013-05:002009-11-03T06:27:52.013-05:00Kathy, does celeriac taste like celery? And now with temperatures finally reaching a minimum of 16 deg. C.... not winters exactly , I shall be going down to the nursery to buy seeds for the salad veggies.
One thing that really surprised me is that I have had a celery plant growing in the shade since September '08!! and the most surprising thing is, that it survived the heat wave, the unbearable summer ( 48 deg C). Tastes really good though. I only snip off whatever I need and don't uproot it.Zazu Tahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01609127103403153150noreply@blogger.com
