This is a journal of my vegetable gardens. Skippy was my first dog and he thought the garden was his, even though I did all the work. Now Suzie and Charley follow in his footsteps. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6A). I have a community plot, a backyard vegetable garden, fruit trees, berry bushes, chickens, and bees. I use sustainable organic methods and do my best to grow all of my family's vegetables myself.
How are everyone's tomatoes doing this year? Mine seem very slow, not getting tall and thick, but they started to have few blooms and a few fruits. I wonder what causes the problems. Too many cooler nights in June?
Great to see your tender stems broccol i, we are at the other end of the planet in winter and we have them too. Love them just steamed with a dust of nutmeg...
Hi! Well here in East London, UK, our tomatoes, courgettes, pumpkins and beans are slow. They have had to contend with all sorts of weather, wind ripping their leaves off, really hot days, cool nights and not much rain at all. Think it is going to be a poor harvest year, but there's a couple of months of hope left! Marian (LondonUK)

Great harvest! I did not grow peas this year. It was my off year for them, but I did double up on the tomatoes so I am pretty excited about that.
Looks like an amazing harvest just for a day, mine is not quite the same if im being very honest!! ha
how are your chickens doing?
Need pictures!
chickens are good! I'll get a picture.
Love it! I'm missing peas. I'm hopeful I can get a small fall crop going.
