A journal of my home vegetable garden. Skippy thinks it's his garden, but I've been gardening here for 20 years. We're located near Boston (USDA zone 6). I have a big community garden plot and a small plot in my yard. I try to grow all of my family's vegetables using sustainable organic methods.

I love these! They remind me of my childhood because I remember having them in our backyard. The 'fuzzies' always made me smile :)

The are so cute! Here we have them during the Chinese New Year, an auspicious plant to have for decorations in the house. Although Im not celebrating the New Lunar Year, sometimes will buy at least one in trying to grow it, but so far not successful!

It's a beautiful picture. I like the white background with a splotch of brown creeping into the frame. It a subtlety behind the obvious pussy willow that says, spring is coming!

I planted this willow right outside my dining room window, so I could watch for spring without going outside. I leaned out the window to photograph these.

We have had some really nice spring-like weather recently, up to 50*F or so. Our 8 foot snow piles have melted back to about 5 feet. But I'm looking forward to more signs of spring.
